Easter Event

The Downtown BIA’s annual Easter Event will take place on Saturday, April 20th!

  1. The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11:00 in Ostler Park and is usually over in about five minutes!  Free bubbles, baskets for the first 300 children; ReMax Check Realty will provide coffee and goodies.
  2. M.a.t.z pancakes will be selling their delicious, hot dollar size pancakes.
  3. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will take place from 11:15 to 1:15 at the Tidemark Theatre – by donation to the CR Food Bank.
  4. Shoo Shoo the Clown on Spirit Square Stage at 11:15
  5. Captain Thunderpants on Stage from 11:30 to 12:15

Downtown Business Owners call Safer Downtown a “Big Step Forward.”

More than 1100 people signed the Safe Streets petition started by the Campbell River Downtown BIA. The organization represents business owners who have been vocal about reducing criminal activity in the Downtown core. In May 2018 the City responded by approving new funding to open a Safer Downtown Office, housing the By Law Enforcement Office with an additional bylaw officer, Foot Prints Security and a check point for the RCMP. The Office officially opened in July  2018.
