For the past 29 years the Campbell River Downtown Business Improvement Association (BIA) has held an event called STARLIGHT SHOPPING which marks the beginning of the holiday season.
This year the event is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd. Downtown comes alive!
Shoppers Row, Tyee Plaza, 11th Avenue and Pier Street businesses decorate their windows and stores. We have so many interesting, unique shops, many stores are open late offering special promotions plus hot mulled cider, hot chocolate, cookies or appetizers to name a few – a thank you for choosing to shop Downtown.
Entertainment features Luke Blu Guthrie, Shoo Shoo the Clown, Captain Thunderpants, Frosty the Snowman and the stilt-walking Illuminated Angels. Keep nice and toasty next to the roaring firepit compliments of the Spirit Square Manager, Lucas Schuller.
Visit the Artisan Market at the Art Gallery plus screen printing fun. The Tidemark Theatre is the setting for the gingerbread house contest and voting, snap a selfie with a giant gingerbread cookie enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate at the concession. Wander along Shoppers Row, from Sessions Kitchen + Taproom to RBC, to admire our 6sixnew murals all created by local artists
